We found out a couple of weeks ago that our good friends Christina and Greg are moving to Kentucky. Christina took a job down there and decided to trade in the Rocky Mountain National Park for Big Bone Lick State Park.
We decided to get a bunch of folks and do a going away hike. We decided on Mt Sherman, which is one of Colorado's famous 14ers. After reaching the peak and relaxing for a while, a small group of us decided to bag Gemini Peak as well. Gemini peak is about 13,947ft or something like that and was only 0.8 miles away. After a slightly dodgy scrample, five of us summited and headed back to the car.
The end of the day was celebrated with beer and burgers and the Dillon Dam brewery. Colorado isn't going to be the same without the Courtney family, but luckily they are moving about one hour from Bill and Michele Reese's house, so Sarah and I will probably get to see them from time to time.

lol....i about died when i saw the big bone lick comment. i sent you a text today. i am feeling a lot better today so if all is well, lets do din on thurs? does that work?
and we are sooooooooooo going to miss you guys. but dont worry. we will be back. he he he. i've already planned our vacation for next summer. plans will be discussed as next summer approaches. and hopefully we will be back even before that! :)
